Enjoy the Game Safely
Encourage eye protection, balance, sensible movement, and partner communication. Respect your own pace, take breaks, and look out for others so everyone can enjoy their time on court.
Learn with Encouragement
Make learning clear, patient, and enjoyable. Help beginners feel comfortable, support experienced players who want to improve, and celebrate progress without making ratings or winning the measure of belonging.
Build Welcoming Clubs
Support fair rotations, clear communication, friendly games, and appreciated volunteers. Help players find games suited to their abilities and interests while treating everyone with equal respect.
Practical guidance, grounded in experience
Coach Tom Hincy brings his experience as a PPR Certified Coach, USA Pickleball Ambassador, club president, and community volunteer to the Hub’s resources.
The approach is straightforward: put people first, explain ideas clearly, and help players and volunteers create a better day at the courts. A good rally matters—and so does a friendly welcome. Meet Coach Tom.
